24 hour library opening, 14th April to 23rd May

Thursday, April 10th, 2014

The Library is to run a second trial of 24 hour opening in the run up to the end of semester and will be open continuously from:

08.00 on Monday 14th April until 20.00 on Friday 23rd May.

The library will then reopen at 13.00 on Saturday 24th May and thereafter vacation hours will apply.

Security staff will be on duty from 22.30 until 08.00 and the self service units and returns machine will be available as usual. If you have any questions during these times, please email library@rgu.ac.uk and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Remember that there will be no retail outlets available outwith their normal opening hours and that First will be running their normal bus services so please make plans accordingly.

The usual rules about eating and drinking in the library will apply so please move to the amphitheatre area near the entrance on Level 3 if you need a ‘snack break’.

We hope you will find these extra opening hours useful and look forward to hearing your feedback during and at the end of the trial period.

RGU Library Closure this Evening – 29th March 2014

Saturday, March 29th, 2014

RGU are supporting WWF’s Earth Hour this year, which takes place this evening. In order to support Earth Hour the University are closing the Riverside East building, where the Library is situated, earlier than usual. This means that the Library will close this evening at 7.30pm. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Riverside East Building will re-open as usual tomorrow morning at 9.00am and the Library is open from 10.00 am onwards.

Please note that the clocks change tomorrow for British Summer Time. On Sunday at 1.00am the clocks move forward an hour, don’t forget to reset your clocks.

24 hour opening now finished

Friday, January 24th, 2014
