Aberdeen Business School is hosting an Oil and Gas Seminar in the Business School atrium between 6pm and 9pm on Thursday 1st September. There may be some noise in the Library as a result of the setting up and preparations for the event, so please use the Seminar room on Floor 4 or the Journal room on Floor 2 if you need somewhere silent to work during this period.

To improve ILL services to our Distance Learning students, the Library has introduced a pilot scheme which provides them with loans as well as photocopies. Distance Learners will now be able to get loans borrowed from other Libraries via the ILL service sent to them if they are based in the UK. The interlibrary loans will be sent via Recorded Delivery and there is a charge of £5 per book for this service. The pilot scheme will run until May 2012. If you wish to use this service, please contact The ILL Team at email@example.com for more details.
The Avery Index to Architecture Periodicals database has moved platforms and is now available from EbscoHost.
To take a look simply go to the library database list, find Avery, follow the link, and log in using your RGU username and password when prompted. The new platform gives access to the same content as before but offers a new way of searching. Take a look at the following PDF for guidance about how to use the new interface.
The library would like to introduce ASPIRE@RGU, a new online way of sharing resource lists. ASPIRE@RGU lets you make the most of your resource lists by providing lists that:
- Are online and dynamic
- Provide easy access to online resources
- Integrate into modules on CampusMoodle
- Can be annotated and enhanced
- Are accurate, up-to-date and contain available resources
You can take a look at APSIRE@RGU here.
And to find out more about it, see the guides, find reasons why you should use it, look at example lists, and submit lists to us for inclusion you can explore our new web pages:
If you have any questions or would like a more demonstration of ASPIRE@RGU please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that the problems with the above reported on 12th August have now been resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
